Duties
- Maintain record documents and mapping for city roadways, bridges, sanitary sewers, and storm sewers
- Manage the design and construction of public works projects, such as roads, bridges, drainage infrastructure, and more
- Issue permits and provide inspection services for excavations in public rights-of-way, sewer connections, construction of public curb and sidewalks, and driveway connections that connect to a public thoroughfare
- Conduct site plan and subdivision plan reviews
- Provide a courtesy review of Residential Site Plans as requested by the Zoning Inspector
- Provide construction inspection services
- Provide public right-of-way surveys
- Provide addressing/house numbering services (CLICK HERE TO REQUEST AN ADDRESS/ HOUSE NUMBER)
- Respond to traffic concerns and perform and review traffic studies
- Maintain all traffic control devices in the City (traffic signals, signs, pavement markings, etc.)
- Manage and enforce all on-street and some off-street parking in the downtown area
- Regulate stormwater management for construction projects and development
- Coordinate the City’s Hike and Bike Trail System
