Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) is critical to maintaining a city where residents want to live, work, and raise a family.
The laws of the City of Canton protect individuals from discrimination at work based upon a person's age, ancestry, color, disability, gender, national origin, race, religion, and/or sexual orientation.
If you or someone you know feels that they have been discriminated against, report it! You can contact Sam Sliman at 330-489-3360 to have a private discussion about your situation - remember - Equal Employment Opportunity is the Law!
In order to receive EEO certification, companies must provide information verifying their compliance with Canton City Codified Ordinance 507.03. To maintain contract bid eligibility, companies are strongly encouraged to remain in compliance with the city's EEO program throughout the term of the contract.
The Compliance Department reviews all Bidder/Contractor Employment Practices Reports, and may refuse a report if it incomplete or is submitted without authorized signatures.
