WHEREAS, the City of Canton is committed to providing the highest quality service to its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City of Canton is committed to providing effective guidance and leadership to all its employees; and
WHEREAS, the need to execute new Executive Orders and Policies and revoke out-dated orders and policies is deemed to be in the best interest of the safety, health and welfare of the citizens and employees of the City of Canton; and
WHEREAS, as the Chief Executive Officer of Canton, Ohio, the Mayor is charged with the ultimate responsibility of supervising and directing the day-to-day affairs of City Departments and Offices as prescribed by the Ohio Revised Code and Codified Ordinances of the City of Canton; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, William J. Healy, II, Mayor of the City of Canton, under the authority conferred by the State of Ohio, hereby order that any prior Executive Orders and Policies executed by previous administrations, except those preserved as archives, are now hereby revoked.
BE IT FURTHER ORDERED that all Executive Orders executed by William J. Healy, II, apply to all City of Canton employees under my authority, subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements and Civil Services laws, and are effective immediately.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto signed my name and caused the seal of the City of Canton to be affixed this 5th day of October, 2009.
